Players should be able to trade anything in the game that they want. Furthermore, drops should be made in public bags again.
This would make the game far more interesting, in a number of ways: 1: with high-value UTs available as top-level trades, the market should stabilize and actually have more importance in the game. 2: Keys would actually be consistently tradeable (no, the current system where scamming is everpresent doesn't cut it). 3: Surplus inventory could be dropped publicly for friends instead of either just leaving it or wasting time trading. The problem is it still exists. Deca should've had it fixed a while ago.
Fighting cheaters/dupers is a losing battle. There's always incentive for hack providers to create hacks, as they make money off of hacks/dupes. Even if DECA managed to patch all existing dupes, people would find others that would then need to be patched. You also severely underestimate the difficulty of patching dupe methods, especially in a platform as old/glitchy as flash.
Why balance the game around duping? There's duping, and there's duping. It isn't necessary to balance the game around 5-10 people who decide they're going to dupe t14s (which barely provide any benefits to equipment that's one tier down) and sell them for an exorbitant amount of money, but it is if everyone and their mother has a few juggs. UTs are meant to be difficult to get because they completely change a player's playstyle.
In an ideal world, hackers/dupers would not exist. However, this isn't an ideal world. The best we can do is minimize the ways that hackers/dupers affect the average player's experience. In this case, the best we can do is to make the most endgame and game-changing items soulbound so that the market isn't flooded with them. Item ids would help. Also tracking trades would help. Which would help ban rwt sites.
Whats stopping hackers from duping DECA rings? And why does it still have value. You act as if everyone will be able to afford a jugg if it comes off of SB, or everyone duping UTs Who said UTs are supposed to be rare because they change playstyles? Planewalker is common as hell and it changes rogue in so many ways.Yet its one the most common uts. Same goes for other UTs such as Book of Geb.
You're confusing rarity with utility. Shouldn't have to farm for a year so I can play Archer in a different way Minimize the ways hackers/dupers can affect legit users, by limiting the legit users. That makes sense. A duper who gets a jugg will still be a duper with juggs. A legit user farming for juggs for 5 years will still be the same.

' That's a problem in itself, which most people just set a chat filter to instantly get rid of (A guess) 80% of the spam bots. Hell, many keywords are blocked. It doesn't take much money or effort to make a website. ESPECIALLY when you can rip all of the code from a different website. CSGO Gambling sites are a great example.
A bunch of the same sites, same coding, plaguing the game. A good portion of these sites barely got attention, yet they all still stay up. It's a website. Very basic sites, which is what these (and csgo sites) are, cost around $20-$50 yearly for domain names and hosting services since most of the designs/developing is ripped.
That's if these rwt companies choose to not use one of many site-creation services. Oh, and I forgot to mention, ads. These sites are riddled with them. RWT Will always stay, since some the creators will have the glimmer of hope that they can make profit off of it.
The existing state of the game shows that many people can simply ignore RWT Sites, it's not worth the hassle, risk, and overpriced items. Why would I spend $5 on a skin or ST set when i can farm for the pots needed to buy the skin or st set for free, and probably more fun. If Dupers have destroyed the game economy already, why are Decas still selling for 6 Life? Why are some skins selling for 8 Life? Certainly all Non-def pots would be worthless due to the mass amount of duping. Surely the state of the game is absolutely ruined by dupers, hackers and RWT Sites. Except it's not, and calling me naive and illogical doesn't make it true.

Game Racing Simulation 3. You can't sell Soulbound items. Soulbound items mostly are getting from Raids, dungeons, quests. Binds on Equip items you can get from random mob drops, - sometimes from raid trash, crafting professions like Blacksmithing, jewelcrafting, tailoring, leatherworking, inscription and etc.

The reality is rather more mundane. If an item is soulbound, it simply means you can't give it (mail, trade, sell.) to anyone else. All you can do with soulbound items is use them or sell them to a vendor. Items come with a variety of different 'ratings': Bind on Pickup (BoP) - as soon as you pick these up, they become soulbound. Bind on Equip (BoE) - you can pick these up (have them in your inventory) without making them soulbound. But as soon as you equip them, they become soulbound.
Bind on Account (BoA) - items that you can freely send from one alt to another, but never to someone else. Okay, on my main, lvl 81 warrior, I have two items - one for a mount and one for a pet - in his bank. They're both soulbound and he already knows both of them. So they're just sitting there being useless.
I want to transfer them to one of the other characters on my account so that they can be of some use. I submitted an in game GM ticket about this. Sat in queue for 3 hours, and instead of a tell of any kind of direct answer, I got an in game mail response that didn't arrive until well after I noticed that the open ticket window had vanished and opened a second one.
And the mail was clearly a pre-written 'There's no way to send soulbound items. It doesn't work that way, once they are learned by a character they can be deleted. The only things that can be transferred are account bound. I know there's not a way to do it myself, that's why I opened the ticket. The purpose of a soulbound item, Revbem, is that it is intended to be usable only by the character that acquired it.
If you were permitted to transfer the item to another character you would be able to do it yourself. If you cannot otherwise facilitate this transfer yourself, Reybem, our In-Game Support staff would not be able to do it for you, I'm sorry. No, Revbem, it does not represent a shift in policy. There is a significant difference between transferring an item that was received by one qualifying member of a group and give it to another qualifying member of the group and transferring an item, such as the from one of your characters to another of your characters. My problem is not that the answer was no, my problem is the fact that the GM couldn't take the 10 seconds to send that answer in a tell and instead sent an in game mail with a pre-written answer.
A personal in-game live response is not guaranteed, Revbem, though we would love to speak with each person it is not always possible. In these cases an in-game response or e-mail may be sent. I very much doubt any response our In-game Support staff could have provided would have been limited to 10 seconds, a proper response would have taken longer and it seems that you would have argued the same points you have argued here.:) If you would like to provide feedback regarding the response you received from the Game Master though the appropriate point of contact would be to write to [email protected].

It is a longtime, known, six year old suggestion. It is not offered. If it can't be done anymore that's fine There was no policy 'change.' You are talking about two DIFFERENT things. Gms DID sometimes help, when ACCIDENTAL misslooting happened with groups. So as you say, they put in the ability to pass loot with group members (with a timer) to take that 'customer service required' component out of that. It was NEVER done for soulbound items, from one character of a player's to another, which were not gained by a group on the same run (nor to a friend of his, nor a third cousin, nor some guy in his guild or that he grouped with once.) That already is a functionality, within certain situations. Personal loot cannot be transferred even within the same party. Items that drop and are eligible to be rolled on by the party can usually be traded within 2 hours of played time to any other qualifying member in the group/raid. Beyond that, you'll want to submit any suggestions you have in-game or by posting in a relevant forum like Dungeons, Raids and Scenario. Since this thread is from 2011 I'm going to lock it up.:).

Working on Arc Emu r 450 (Tested it myself) It is some what similar to the other guide but easily readable. Things you need: -2 people (of course) -A travelers backpack (works best, other nonsoulbound bags work) -The items -The one who will be giving items needs a hearthstone.
Things you may not want: -One partner going to snitch -An addon that makes your bags into one huge bag such as OneBag. Now for the method: -Both players need to make sure the bag slot next to their backpack is empty (meaning you have backpack, empty, other bags).Once there is an empty spot next to the backpack.equip the nonsoulbound bag; both players must do it.Both players open up that newly equipped bag.The person who will be giving the soulbound items should: Drag the bag that he equipped onto the other players portrait. This will open up the trade window.When the bag is open, go to the bag in which you have your hearthstone in and place the hearthstone in the tradable bag.THE HEARTHSTONE HAS TO BE IN THE UPPER LEFT SLOT OF THE NEW TRADE BAG.Once the hearthstone is in, the giver hits trade and the receiver hits trade afterwards.MAKE SURE TO NOT CLOSE THE BAG -Now drag items and drop it in the slots.MAKE SURE TO NOT STACK OR PLACE ITEMS ON EACH OTHER.Now you should see the items drop in but disappear. Saw similiar topics but always msg 'you cant trade equipped bags'. Trade soulbounds on ArcEmu is possible, my english is so bad but i can try explicate this. A) Equip on second slot a empy bag ( you and the player reciver), i recomend a 10 slots bag.
Solded for trade goods b) the giver opens de equiped bag and dont close, now drag the bag to the portrait of the reciver, then trade. But only the giver the reciver dont. C) now (giver)put the heartstone in the first slot of the bag traded, then the reciver acepts the trade. D) now (giver)put the solbound items in the bag. The items desepear, it is good!! E) the giver logout. Now the reciver log out.
And log in the reciver, open the bag enjoy. Sorry for my bad english, iam bolvian and i speak spanish the credits its not for my.
